Remembering Susan Reid

Susan Reid
SALCTG members were sad to hear of the recent death of Susan Reid, our University of Dundee representative and a former secretary. Our thoughts and sympathies go out to her family and friends and to all at Dundee.

Susan's son, Jamie, has a JustGiving page where contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Scottish Association for Mental Health can be left in her memory.

RIP Susan.

Update - Susan's funeral took place at Newport Parish Church on Tuesday 15th April. It was attended by our Abertay representative, Jean McGuinness, who reports that it was a lovely service, and very moving. Several people, including her sister and son, spoke about Susan and about all the things she was involved in – church, singing, etc. The church was packed - later reports suggest around 400 people attended, and over £2000 was raised for the two charities. A tribute video is available on YouTube.

A Memorial Service in recognition of Susan’s professional life – which spanned 34 years - took place at the Chaplaincy, University of Dundee, on Friday 23rd May. Convener Karen McAulay gave a tribute on behalf of SALCTG.
